At last night's meetup, interest was expressed in going to see the Coen Brother's film adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's novel 'No Country For Old Men' - http://www.imdb.com/t... - sometime next week.

For your information, NCFOM is showing at York's City Screen from Monday (28th) to Thursday (31st) at 6.10pm and 8.50pm each day. City Screen haven't yet confirmed their programme beyond Thursday.

I'm not sure whether I'll make it personally (probably not) - but I thought I'd post this to remind you all... and so that you'd have somewhere to decide on a date and time mutually agreeable to as many of you as possible.

I can't post this proposed film trip as an RSVP-able 'event' without a date and a time, so the messageboard is going to have to be the way to go initially. If people settle on a date and a time, it could be flagged as 'event' if desired (just let me know!).

I've already seen it. I would be interested in people's views of the film when they've seen it. I would give it an 8, but won't discuss it yet.

Ok folks let's go for Wednesday 30th. Can people make the 6:10 showing or do we need to aim for the 8:50? I can do either, but have an early the next day so have a slight preference for 6:10.

At the moment, it seems to be me, David and Phillippa, but anybody else is welcome too! - the more the merrier

8:50 is fine - is that Ok for you too Phillippa? Anyone else?

Let's say we will meet at the cinema for the 8:50. I'll be there for about 8:20 (time for a beer before the film!!). Just turn up if you want, dont worry about letting us know! I'll get in touch with David so he knows we are going for the later showing. Di

I won't be going this evening I'm afraid - as I am feeling decidedly 'under par' at the moment - but I hope you enjoy yourselves, those who are going !
