OBCZ at Radio York - Update

I got in touch with BBC Radio York a while back because the OBCZ at their reception appeared to have become an orphan. Anyway the exciting news is that I am going to meet someone at Radio York tomorrow with a view to taking the zone under my wing!

I hope I will be able to get this zone up and running again. It is well located and I think just needs a bit of TLC, and a few enthusiastic bookcrossers leaving books!

I'll keep you posted with an update.

i'm hoping that this will get off the ground now. I have had a meeting with the person who was running the OBCZ at BBC Radio York and I have agreed to manage the zone on their behalf.

I'm going to be releasing books there from now on so watch for the release notes. Any books left by other bookcrossers will, of course, be most welcome. I'm hoping I will be able to snaffle a few lonely leftover books from our Meetups to swell the ranks as well. Radio York get books as well so it should not be difficult to keep it stocked.

I'll be calling into Radio York regularly to check how its going and register any books which have been left.

I have been visiting the BBC radio station lobby on my day off lately.

Well spotted, Dorothy. I do like the place.
Very nice shelf, exchanged some books, found an unregistered book as well and talked to the lady at the reception.
What a nice job she's got listening to the radio all day...

Anyone who is in Bootham between 9 and 5 should have a look into the building. One will find the shelf in the right hand side of the reception area.
