As many FREE Bookcrossing books as you can carry away... plus much book & bookcrossing-related banter, socialising, eating, drinking - and a generally good time - all for a token 70p 'attendance' fee...!

What more could you ask for on the fourth Tuesday of every month?

*** Please note, this meetup takes place in a new venue, The Lamb & Lion Inn, which we are trialling for 3 months. Please also note that the new 'attendance fee' is now 70p, not 50p. ***

AS THIS MEETUP WILL TAKE PLACE ON PANCAKE DAY (OTHERWISE KNOWN AS 'MARDI GRAS' OR, TO THE MORE RELIGIOUSLY-INCLINED, 'SHROVE TUESDAY') - FOOD THEMED BOOKS WILL MOST WELCOME (BUT NOT OBLIGATORY) !!!

nice idea Antje, if you are able...! - as long as we don't get into trouble with the management though... some places can be a bit funny about such things :o/

I might bring some berliners (no Germans). We would eat those jam donats at that time in Germany. We would call them Kreppel, Berliner, Krapfen or Pfannkuchen (which translates as pancakes). I will bring a few for the staff as well, so they won't mind us eating them in the pub... There's always a surprise berliner with mustard in... wonder who gets it...
