Introduction
I'm plain and tall with dark hair and dark eyes. All else is subject to change without notice. I am melancholic with the air of Garbo in the right light and do a great Tina Turner impression.
How did you learn about this Meetup?

My old meetup was getting no attendants and I got tired of showing up by myself. I was told people were attending this one so I decided to give it a try.

Are you a new or experienced BookCrosser?

Experienced. I've been a member of bookcrossing.com for over five years.

What are you reading now?

"Moongazer". It's a story about a woman who designs gaming programs. Lately she's been getting weird dreams that are spilling over into real life and her real life is getting turned topsy turvy. It's a riveting read so far.

My Meetup Groups

  •  Although we didn't talk about books that much, the conversation was lively and far reaching, touching on everything from the appeal of certain feminine body parts to political theory to the threatened extinction of various obscure languages around the world ("Do you speak Beerwhore?") It was fun, funny and insightful. It was also the first time in months that food was provided. I used to bring food to the meetups. But after the organizer for the official meetups retired to tend to her sick mother, attendance fell off and no one came; so I abandoned the practice. But the light snacks provided were perfect (loved the cheeses). I hope this is something the group can do more often in the future.
