A little late in the month, I know, but I can't think of a better way to swing back into things after Memorial Day!

In honor of the kick off to summer, I would like to suggest a theme of "Summer Reading." Beach reads, books that have "summer" in the title, books that remind you of summer...

All other books welcome, as always, but I'd love to see what we can come up with to begin the season!

Stone Creek has a 2 drink per person minimum, but it's not strictly enforced. There is also a fairly comprehensive bar menu, if you miss dinner to get there.

(The suggested donation is truly suggested - not at all required.)

Talk about this Meetup

I'm baffled. I've been checking my emails every day for weeks, wondering when/if the meetup was scheduled for this month. I had expected it to be on a Sunday so that my workday mightn't be compromised. I even had several books I was going to bring! Instead, I log on to the public computer, learning about the meetup at just a little after 9 a.m. today. Now I may or may not show up with no books in tow, having had little advance notice of meetup. I don't understand how I could have missed it! :(

Both my books and my eyes are crossed.

Who attended?

    •  Eclectic group of people! Very interesting conversations!
    •  I'm not quite sure who was the moderator at this scene. I know a lady called Jen was organizing it. But I got my email from Josh Karpf, a delightful and intelligent gent that I'd met at previous meetups. Still, we had a good time, parked in the front space at the Stony Creek bar. However, as time went by and more people appeared, the space grew crowded. The table was too low for easy access, my bags were taking up room and I worried about rain from the open window (although it didn't start drizzling until the moment I left. Grrrr....). But there was a lively mix of people--anywhere from 10-20 members is a good showing. They also brought plenty of books. Hmmm, I should have taken pictures but I forgot.
