Join us on Tuesday, June 26, 7-9 p.m., for our monthly exchange of books and conversation!

We'll be in the back room at Stone Creek. Walk through the bar straight to the back room.

Stone Creek does not charge us a fee for the room, so there is a one drink per person minimum. You can also order appetizers or dinner.

BookCrossing is a community not only for exchanging books, but also for tracking them across the world after you've registered and released them: see Bookcrossing.com to learn more. Even if you don't have any books to share, come anyway; there's plenty to go around.

Cross-promoted to BookCrossing.com and Craigslist.

    •  I'm sorry we had to leave early: Stone Creek double-booked its back room and kicked us out at 8:05, though I had twice confirmed our attendance for tonight. It's not the first time this bar has failed us, and also failed another Meetup. We'll meet at a better venue next month, probably close to Union Square.
    •  It was lovely, and very open to new (and slightly confused!) BookCrossing members.
    •  The company was fantastic! I saw a few people I knew and a lot of new faces. There was a Whovian who belonged to my old sf club back in the 1980s. (I liked the science fiction material you brought, Ted.) Almost everyone brought books with them so that the table was overflowing with reading material. I saw quite a few things that I already had or wanted for my collection. I hadn't seen a turnout like that in well over a year. Josh, you were great at getting all these people together and keeping the conversation going (I especially liked your insight on the author Harry Turtledove.) I look forward to the July Meetup.
    •  I think it would help if there was an opportunity for people to talk to group about books or authors they like. It would help focus all the interest that is in the room
