Okay, so I couldn't find information on it anywhere. I just want to know what the dollar is for? What's it go towards?

Meetup.com charges $9.00 per month to manage the group through this website. As the leader, I pay the $9.00. I collect a dollar at the meetups from anyone who wants to contribute, just to cover the fee charged by the site. Of course we would never turn anyone away for not paying the dollar -- it's just a suggested contribution.
